All of Durrschmidt's bows benefit from the shop's good stores of generational wood. In addition, Frau Durrschmidt does much of the finish work and she has a good eye for all the small details, so we get bows that are meticulously haired and finished. Bravo. These bows are a truly great value.
AB605 is a noticeable upgrade from AB600 because the bowmaker uses a better quality stick that draws well, sounds louder, and is more flexible for added advantage in more advanced techniques. In additon, AB605 has a much better quality frog.BR>
A note about the two kinds of windings these bows have. Usage is about 50-50 with silver or fishbein. The issue is weight. When Durrschmidt has a AB605 quality stick that is light enough to balance with almost no added weight, he uses the whale bone lapping (fishbein). If the stick is lighter but needs more weight to corrctly balance the stick, he uses silver. Does this help? Please click thru to see additional images, specs, etc.

AB610F is a silver mounted master crafted bow from Meister Ewe Dürrschmidt. He chooses fine grained wood that is aged longer so it is lighter, stronger and more flexible than the woods he uses in his workshop model bows.
